During the summer of 2010 in partnership with Rutgers University, School of Business- Camden the Youth Entrepreneurship Series program (Y.E.S.) was founded. We held an entrepreneurship boot-camp consisting of six weeks of lectures, visits to Rutgers University and meeting numerous entrepreneurs from the area. The official name of the project is titled Y.E.S. (Youth Entrepreneurship Series). The completion rate was 90%, of which 100% of them indicated they have interests in entrepreneurship and could see themselves one day starting a business. The completion rate is significant because the program was totally voluntary – the children wanted to be there.

The program leverages Rutgers faculty and local business leaders experienced in real-world successful entrepreneurship ventures. The youth learn critical elements in starting and running a successful business.  The aim of the program is to expose Camden youth to the endless possibilities there are in owning a successful business.
Sean Golden, a graduate of Camden High School and former member of our congregation in Camden has demonstrated what it takes to accomplish lofty personal goals. As a youth growing up in Camden, Sean set high goals for himself, and worked hard to achieve them. Today, he continues to work toward accomplishing great things in his life.  We are so proud of Sean.
